How to set up a server for NGS analysis

Hi all, I am a Biologist and I work with NGS data's. Previously I used to connect to a server using Putty where I have to give IP address, Port, Login id, and password and the connection type is SSH. Now I brought a server and it already have Windows 10. My plan is to do partition and also install Linux. My question is how shall I set up the server as administrator (like IP address, Port and user id and password on user request), so that other can connect to the server both in Windows and Linux platform as an user using Putty as I did earlier ? I will appreciate the help as I am not expert in computer.

If you want to productively use any platform (together with others) to analyze your data, I strongly recommend to get an experienced system admin to assist you.

It is tough for me to get help from a system admin. I wonder if someone here has such experience.

You need a lot of help to get this up, more than an online Q&A forum can offer. And it's off topic for biostars. You may have more luck on more specialised fora.
