Hi-C Data and RNA-seq in a Non-Cell-Specific Context (Human Blood)

Hi everyone,

I have RNA-seq expression data, but I'm now considering using Hi-C data to understand the spatial interactions between repeats and genes.

  1. Is it possible to use Hi-C data in a non-cell-type-specific manner to investigate interactions between regulatory elements? I’m interested in a more general dataset that could provide insights across different tissues (whole blood).

  2. Are there any existing Hi-C databases for whole blood or tools that could help with this type of analysis, especially when looking for interactions between repeats and gene regulatory regions?

Or

  1. If cell-specific Hi-C data is the only viable option, would using Hi-C data from multiple tissues (e.g., lung, immune cells, etc.) help provide a more comprehensive picture? What are the ways to integrate Hi-C with my RNA-seq data in this case?
