In the DICER mutant cell, there will be no mature miRNA and hence not loaded with AGO2 in RISC complex. In such scenario, when no siRNA sequence is loaded, can miRISC can be recruited to 3'UTR or not ?

Hi Chirag, I think that would be a good question for a molecular biology forum. From what I understand in a DICER deficient cell, the can be no miRNA loaded RISC complex because pre-miRNA transcripts cannot be cleaved, however artificial siRNA would still integrate into RISC and could induce transcriptional knock-down.
