I am currently preparing for future studies in medicine while building skills in programming, AI, bioinformatics, and digital health. My long-term goal is to work at the intersection of medicine, data, and technology, particularly in areas such as precision medicine, clinical informatics, and AI-assisted healthcare.
I am not an expert yet, but I am highly motivated to learn and contribute. Over the past year, I have been exploring topics such as protein structure prediction, AlphaFold, biological databases, Python programming, data analysis, and AI agents. More recently, I have become interested in how patient-generated data and digital tools can improve clinical decision-making and healthcare workflows.
I am looking for open-source projects, research collaborations, volunteer opportunities, or communities where I can learn from experienced people while making meaningful contributions. I am especially interested in projects related to bioinformatics, medical AI, digital health, precision medicine, health data, or scientific software.

If the point is that you're not going to contribute actual brain power and creativity to any project, then I suppose I do. Posts like this are extremely off-putting imo, I can work with AI perfectly fine on my own. An unwillingness to even put a human spin on a post where you're asking for opportunities does not come off well.
No need to make such conclusions. It takes time and energy to write several posts, and ai can be a helpful tool when doing that regularly. It's not as though the post was particularly difficult to write by hand. I simply thought transparency was better than pretending I had written it entirely without assistance.
I apologize if it was interpreted otherwise.
I agree completely, which is rather my point. Ignoring that this is the only post you've made on this site, outsourcing to AI for a post that'd take about 30 seconds and little thought to create by hand indicates that the same could certainly be expected for any problem of real complexity. This does not align with your "I am highly motivated to learn and contribute" statement.
You don't need to apologize to me, I really don't care. But you are really unlikely to interest anyone with such a low effort post if you really do want to get involved in open source projects. You'd be much better served by finding specific projects that actually interest you, learning their code base, and trying to make meaningful contributions to get your foot in the door.
