We are pleased to announce our upcoming online course:

Spring School in Bioinformatics – Understanding and Working with Next Generation Sequencing Data

  • 8–12 June - 2–8 pm (Berlin time)

This 5-day course is designed for researchers with a biological background who would like to gain practical experience in handling and analysing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data.

The program covers key topics including:

  • Linux command line and cloud computing basics
  • Quality assessment of sequencing data
  • Genome assembly and annotation
  • RNA-seq and differential gene expression
  • Phylogenetics and phylogenomics
  • Docker and reproducible bioinformatics workflows
  • Long-read sequencing technologies (Nanopore/PacBio)

The course combines lectures with extensive hands-on practical sessions using real short- and long-reads.
