We are pleased to announce our upcoming online course:
Spring School in Bioinformatics – Understanding and Working with Next Generation Sequencing Data
- 8–12 June - 2–8 pm (Berlin time)
This 5-day course is designed for researchers with a biological background who would like to gain practical experience in handling and analysing Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data.
The program covers key topics including:
- Linux command line and cloud computing basics
- Quality assessment of sequencing data
- Genome assembly and annotation
- RNA-seq and differential gene expression
- Phylogenetics and phylogenomics
- Docker and reproducible bioinformatics workflows
- Long-read sequencing technologies (Nanopore/PacBio)
The course combines lectures with extensive hands-on practical sessions using real short- and long-reads.
