Mitochondrial Annotation Tool

Hi,

I am working on de novo assembly of bovine mitochondrial genome. I have done assembly and I need to annotate the genome and generate circular genome plot. The Mitos2 webserver is not working currently and I am unable to run the galaxy version.

Please suggest any other online tool or command line tool that can be used for this analysis.

Looking forward for suggestions.

Hello, for the annotation you could try Prokka using the option --kingdom Mitochondria (--gcode 5).
