visualization of centromere

Hi,

I am trying to analyze and reproduce the images from this article. I have annotated the centromeres using HumAS-HMMER. I do not understand how to generate the figure1

I am mainly insterested in generating how those different mer's were identified from humAS annotation.

Any guidance is appreciated
