Liftover from hg19 to hg38

Hello everybody, my name is Fabio and in the last few days I'm trying to get into bioinformatics.

More specifically I have to do a liftover, I've found on GEO a .bed file RNA seq that I would like to analyze, these data have been analyzed by using as a reference genome the hg19, but since the more recent hg38 exist I would like to see if something change. I've tried the UCSC web based tool, and I got a bed file, but I don't know if I ve done it correctly and also I don't know how to get the infos about what have changed.

Could you please recommend me some tutorials or guide line?
