Sometimes in report writing one may need to mention protein with no GO terms assigned.
Yet writing "... with no GO term assigned" is kind of annoying and repetitive.
Is there any jargon is equivalent to "no GO terms assigned"?

you could use OBI:0000852 "record of missing knowledge" ?
Thanks for the answer. Yet it may not fit my usage.
The definition of OBI_0000852 is: a information content entity created to indicate that information about something is not available to the person recording it.
What I would like to say is the protein have no GO terms annotated to.
It could be not a GO terms but a jargon that describe the above fact.
"of unknown function"
"the function has not been annotated"
"function as yet unknown"
