Repressible System

Does anyone know if there is a dual transcription factor (in bacteria) that acts as a repressive system?

An example of a counterpart is AraC in the inducible arabinose operon.

Thanks...

transcription bacteria

This is really a molecular biology question, not bioinformatics. Try a molecular biology forum.

I would have been interested to know whether there are database that can give you the direction of the regulation caused by the binding of a transcription factor to a specific binding site (and the question whether you could find dual regulations would than probably be just a scripting question). I actually think this is a bioinformatics question after all. Although it maybe misleading that he asked for expert knowledge not for database knowledge. On the other hand getting the knowledge out of the heads of experts is in fact a bioinformatics domain as well (and probably one of the hardest).
