How To Install Haploview In Windows8?

Hi

Can anybody help me installing Haploview in Windows8?

I'm trying that but an errors appear: "CreateProcess error=5, Access is denied".

What should I do?

Hi,

I had a similar problem running Haploview in Windows Vista and Windows 7, except that my error message was "CreateProcess error=2" not "CreateProcess error=5". My problem turned out to be with the fact that Haploview is oldish, while Java (which is needed to run Haploview) is updated almost constantly. The new Java was not working, so I had to use an older version of Java (JRE1.6.0_07) and specify a PATH file to the .exe location, and use command prompt to open the Haploview.jar.

I don't know if the CreateProcess error=5 that you are having would be similar or not... it might be a Java compatibility issue of a different sort maybe. I did outline the procedure that I used to fix my error in detail on the Genome Toolbox website, where I first found people having the same issue:
