Logarithm neutralizes exponential growth of RNA-Seq reads during PCR?

Most RNA-Seq experiments are done with PCR amplification in advance. Later on, log normalization is carried out on raw expression counts before DE analysis. Can I assume that this exponential growth (PCR) - log transformation procedure quantitatively convert read counts back to original amount (before PCR)?

rna-seq normalization

No, why would you think that's related?

I also suspect your real question deals with absolute quantification and if so it'd be better if you just asked it.

Apologize, I was not thinking clearly.
