identifying of functionally characterized genes homologs by blast and keyword searches against an EST database

Hello

I am going to have do an extensive BLAST and keyword searches of the citrus transcriptome to identify homologs of the genes involved in steroid biosynthesis.

May someone please give me some tips in this field if possible.
