Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced R&D Manager to lead our bioinformatics and scientific teams. This role will involve directing high-impact research projects, engaging with external stakeholders, and shaping scientific strategy to drive our AI-powered drug discovery platform.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the bioinformatics and scientific teams, ensuring efficient execution of research projects.
2. Work closely with the founders to align R&D strategy with organizational goals and drive innovation in drug discovery and diagnostics.
3. Direct experimental research in genomics, molecular biology, and drug discovery, overseeing the design and implementation of cutting-edge experiments.
4. Engage with external stakeholders, including academic partners, research collaborators, and funding agencies, to advance Vgenomics’ research objectives.
5. Write and publish high-impact papers and scientific reports, presenting Vgenomics' findings to the global scientific community.
6. Develop scientific proposals for grants and collaborations, securing research funding and building strategic partnerships.
7. Ensure high standards of quality control and compliance in all scientific work and research documentation.

Required Qualifications:

1. PhD in Genomics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in genomics research and drug discovery, with a proven track record of team leadership.
3. Experience working directly with senior leadership in shaping R&D strategy.
4. Strong publication record in high-impact journals and experience presenting research at conferences.
5. Expertise in bioinformatics tools and genomic analysis technologies.
6. Excellent scientific writing, communication, and team management skills.
