In approximately two weeks, Dr. Adam Rork at The University of Connecticut Computational Biology Core (CBC) is hosting a three-day Virtual RNA-seq Data Analysis workshop, from March 17th to 19th, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST, via Microsoft Teams. Topics covered include accessing HPC resources and submitting jobs via Slurm, bulk RNA-seq experimental design considerations, assessing and improving the quality of raw sequencing data, assembling de novo transcriptomes and generating counts matrices, differential expression analyses, and functional enrichment analyses.
The week after, from March 24th to 26th, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Dr. Kerry Cobb at the UConn CBC is hosting a three-day Virtual Single-Cell RNA-seq Data Analysis workshop via Microsoft Teams. Topics covered include accessing HPC resources and submitting jobs via Slurm, scRNA-seq experimental design considerations, quality assessment and control of raw counts matrices, clustering and integration, dimensionality reduction, annotation, and trajectory analyses.
Temporary access to high-performance computing resources will be provided for attendees, and no prior HPC or Linux experience is required. All workshop materials, including slides, scripts, data, and recordings, will also be made available.
