Cannot access NCBI - Error 500

I am new and just started working on my first bioinformatics project. But idk I cant access any website on NCBI. It just shows Error 500 when I try to search anything

There is a known issue with NCBI web services today. Other people have commented on this earlier. There is nothing you can do but wait.

You can use EBI as an alternate: https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ebisearch/search?db=allebi&query=NP_001318308&requestFrom=searchBox

You can directly go to the protein record here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/protein/NP_001318308.1

Edit: As of 10 AM US eastern time, NCBI site is functioning normally.
