Hi, I'm Yu Gyeong Lee who master course student of Sookmyung Women's University in South Korea.

I have some questions for CytoHubba.

I do my research about microarray and realized that Cytoscape is commonly used for microarray analyses to find hub genes.

I also use Cytoscape software to looking for hub genes and pathways.

But there are some problems to use this software.

CytoHubba which plug in of Cytoscape has total 12 algorithms.(Degree, MCC, DMNC, MNC, Closeness, EcCentricity, Radiality, BottleNeck, Stress, Betweenness, Edge Percolated Component, Clustering Coefficient)

1. I wonder which algorithm is more effective and exact to extract the hub genes?

1. I research about 100 articles to define the components of each algorithm but I still don't know what is the important components of each algorithm.

For example, Degree consider the connection number of each vertice.

Like above sentence, I want to know the important components of each algorithm.

I need your help for my research.
