EBI European Nucleotide Archive (ERA) aspera access broken
I'm trying to download FASTQ files from the ENA via aspera. FTP still works.
ascp -QT -P33001 -l 200m -i /home/me/.aspera/connect/etc/asperaweb_id_dsa.openssh era-fasp@fasp.sra.ebi.ac.uk:/vol1/fastq/SRR663/009/SRR6639099/SRR6639099_1.fastq.gz ./
As of sometime last week I am constantly getting:
Session Stop (Error: failed to authenticate)
ascp: failed to authenticate, exiting.
Updating aspera doesn't help and oddly other files from ebi still work (e.g. fasp-g1k@fasp.1000genomes.ebi.ac.uk:vol1/ftp/release/20100804/ALL.2of4intersection.20100804.genotypes.vcf.gz)
Any suggestions? Also if the database is down for maintenance or something - where can I find out this information?

You may have already done so but perhaps create a ticket with their help desk to let them know about this.
EBI does not seem to publish schedules for downtimes .. at least I did not find any when I looked a few days back. Perhaps they only do twitter/social media which I don't check.
I get the same error, which I didn't last week with the same command/.
