Sukhdeep is correct they are same
I have the task to test our computing cluster for its mapping performance. I'm looking for a Illumina HiSeq 2500 hi-output run raw dataset, preferentially to map to the human genome.
Does anyone know where to download such a dataset? I tried the 1000 genomes project, but they all seem to have a rather low coverage (not a full run) and stem from HiSeq 2000.

I thought HiSeq 2000 and Hiseq2500 are essentially the same machines with same chemistry just the 2500 allows your to run some samples in a rapid mode, which implies the datasets should be more or less the same (the bias should be same, as running the same sample again in the machine). Anyway, someone has done this comparison and has data archived in the Illumina basecamp, check this to see how to get access.(Its in Humans) High Concordance between HiSeq 2000 and HiSeq 2500 Data
