Opinions On: "Understanding Bioinformatics" By Zvelebil, Baum

Thinking about ordering this book from Amazon, but there's only two reviews -- so, thought I'd ask here to see if anyone had an opinion on the book, or a book they'd recommend instead.

I happen to know Jaap Heringa, one of the two reviewers, he is an excellent bioinformatician.

The book is excellent. It is from scratch to intermediate level. Worth buying and reading.

While I do not own the book and did not read it from cover to cover I did parse it for few hours in the library in 2008. At that time this was probably the best book for teaching students, and it used as such, i.e. here:
