Hi

I am thinking of upgrading my machine to 64 bit to use memory over 4 gig and I thought i had better check all of the tools i use regularly are ok on 64 bit linux.

I use polyphen and have read all of the readme files and can't see anything about 64 bit linux. Polyphen uses blast and there is a 64 bit linux available for that.

I was wondering if anyone on here had used polyphen on 64 bit linux?

many thanks

There should be no problems. PolyPhen is distributed as source code, so it should build appropriately for your system architecture. BLAST can either be built from source, or else there are 64-bit distributions. The PolyPhen README file describes the use of 64-bit machines when building BLAST databases.

In general, everything is fine on 64-bit Linux, these days.
