Laptop configuration for biostar handbook

Hi All,

I am new to this exciting field of data analysis and trying to learn data analysis. Recently I purchased biostar handbook and am trying to follow it. I have a basic question......my laptop configuration is as follows: memory 2GB, Intel core 2 Duo CPU T7250@2.00GH X 2, graphics intel 965GM, OS type 64 bit, Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Will I be able to perform Chip-Seq and RNA-Seq analysis on this machine.

You definitely don't have enough RAM. 2 GB is limiting even for non-NGS tasks. There are already several posts here on the topic e.g. here, here and here.
