Looking For A Database With Gene Expression Data For Monkey

I am looking for a database that would provide gene expression data for monkey in different kind of tissues. Does anybody is aware of such a database. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

gene database

Haha, I read this as you needing the database literally FOR a monkey to use. Good luck.

Apart from Andrew's great efforts with BioGPS, I'm afraid there really are only 2 main options when it comes to gene expression databases: NCBI GEO, as Pierre mentioned and EBI ArrayExpress.

Neither are ideal: GEO probably has more flexible search options, ArrayExpress a slightly-better user interface. However, that's what we have - so those biologists will just have to invest a little time and effort in learning something new.

If you think the web interfaces are "too difficult", you should try retrieving anything meaningful from these resources programmatically; it's next to impossible :-)

GEO ? http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gds?term=%22gorilla%20gorilla%22[ORGN]

Pierre, thanks for the tips but I was looking for a more straightforward solution with with a friendly user interface. Because actually it is a biologist of my lab who is looking for such information.

We're in the process of uploading a bunch of GEO data sets into BioGPS (which we think has a friendly user interface). If you could find a relevant GEO data set and assuming it was run on a human chip, we might be able to help you out. You can help us beta-test...

Andrew, thanks for the suggestion. I will try to spend some time to find a data set of interest and I will let you now asap.
