Downloading from European Nucleotide Archive; Persistent ERROR 504: Gateway Timeout
Hi all!
I'm downloading FASTQ files from the European Nucleotide Archive (https://www.ebi.ac.uk/ena/browser/view/PRJNA484008) via wget onto the cluster at my institution.
I keep persistently encountering the following error: ERROR 504: Gateway Timeout.
Sometimes, the downloads cannot start due to the Gateway Timeout, at other times, the timeout occurs as the download is ongoing, thus interrupting the download process.
Do you have any recommendations?

This most likely is due to a local firewall or some kind of security restriction. You should contact your local cluster admins and see what they have to say. They may be limiting bandwidth used by any single process since you mention that this is a cluster.
