Sorry, in advance to asking you to help me cheat :) So the thing is I'm not from biology field but started to work as programmer recently and we here need to pick a best research paper for computational biology. What would you recommend for one because I don't know about many.

Agree. Although I wish there was a specific section focused on papers discussing bioinformatic methods and designs, rather than a "bioinformatic" tag for papers using it as a tool.

Maybe you could turn it around. Instead of picking the best paper on computational biology, you could consider the best paper in your field of expertise of which you value the ideas presented as enrichment to the field of computational biology.
