Hi all, Would anyone happen to know what the best way to attain structured data from EcoliWiki is? Or if it is readily available anywhere?
Thanks,

Hi, my lab runs EcoliWiki. One of my colleagues in GMOD pointed me to this post.
Export of structured data from EcoliWiki is one of our important goals, but it is still a work in progress. We would be happy to work with you to create an interface if what we have does not meet your needs. Here's a brief summary of what we currently have:
Generic MediaWiki infrastructure. This includes an RSS feed of recent changes, and XML dumps of page content, via the Special:Export page. These are not very structured.
A variety of web services. See http://ecoliwiki.net/colipedia/index.php/Help:Web_Services. We are in the process of rewriting these to deal with changes in MediaWiki.
Gene Ontology annotations from EcoliWiki are extracted and merged into the gene_associations.ecocyc file that is maintained at the Gene Ontology website.
Note that a lot of the basic content is aggregated from other sources, such as EcoCyc, EcoGene, RegulonDB, etc. The really unique content is from community contributions to the annotation. Those that are in GO are extracted as noted above. In other places the community content is free text. The is_edited web service can be used to query whether a page or set of pages has been edited by a human contributor.
Contact us at ecoliwiki@gmail.com if you would like to discuss this further.
