Suggest : Create own database

Dear All,

I need to create my own anti-microbial gene in swine. But I'm not sure how can I know that my database is cover all of anti-microbial gene in swine or not. Could anyone suggest me to create my database or suggest me How to know that my database is cover all gene or not?

If anyone have another suggestions please tell me. I never create own big data of library like this.

Thank you in advance and sorry about my english.

gene sequence database library create

what's the final aim of that database ? what kind of information do you want to put in that DB ? how to you want to use it ? You have to give us more details. A simple text file with some gene names is a "database".

I need to build list of anti-microbial gene that often infected in swine. I need to build it for further work that to identify which anti-microbial gene found in this sample. I need to build nucleotide and protein sequence of anti-microbial genes.

Where are the genes/sequences coming from? Existing databases or your own sequencing data?

I think, I will retrieve from NCBI or another anti-microbial database (If you have any recommend database about anti-microbial database, please tell me). I don't use my own sequence data to build that database.
