Hi I am searching a good tool for chimeric transcript analysis. (I have WTS) I see most of the people use TopHat2 for this aim but I also found a tool called fusioncatcher which is one of the best tool for me but it requires 24 GB RAM and my laptop has just 8GB RAM.
So if you can recommend some tools about chimeric transcript analysis, i will be appreciate.

There are a lot of fusion detection tools, you can find a 2016 non-exhaustive list in this paper : https://www.nature.com/articles/srep21597
In my opinion it is wise to test several tools, and to cross results from at least 3 tools to have relevant results, as it has be done here : https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S152500161830529X
