Could I delete the unzipped installation folder after building a package?

Hi, I am just curious if I could delete the unzipped installation folder after building a package?

Does a package use any resources from the original installation file while running?

It depends, you didn't even say if you are running the program from the installation folder, or if copied / make install the binaries somewhere else.
