WiFi connection only gets you access to the internet. It does not have anything to do with accessing a linux server. You would do that using a program that enables Secure Shell protocol. Free programs can be found by searching for "free ssh client for windows". Smallest/simplest windows client may be PuTTY.
Install mobxterm and
ssh username@serveraddress
