About Selection of Hub protein in network of Protein-Protein interaction.

I have a list of 73 genes. I am using STRING database for PPI. for selection of hub gene i am taking hub gene using the degree. but genes having high node degree are from the database not from my gene list. genes from also having the higher degree but lower than that. can anyone suggest me what to do? how I can select hug protein?

Did you look through the STRING documentation in order to see how you can correctly use it?

Not sure what you mean... STRING makes an attempt to match your gene names to the genes in its database. In some cases, the gene names used by STRING may be very different from your input gene list. This is due to the fact that many genes can have more than 1 alias.
