Can't I use STAR aligner in my laptop?
Dear one, Can't I use STAR in my laptop which has 4GB RAM? I want to align mouse RNA-Seq data! It is written that STAR requires 30GB of RAM for human genome!

If you have only 4Gb, and you need 30Gb (which is the case), then no, you cannot run STAR on your laptop.
Perhaps you could have a look at more light-weight pseudoalignments using Salmon (depending on your downstream project of course!)
