What Does Bed Stand For?

GFF is for Generic Feature Format, GTF is for Gene transfer format. Is BED (a la UCSC) also an acronym?

Yeah, both UCSC and Ensembl have documentation pages dedicated to the BED format without saying what it stands for on that page. Word-of-mouth ... definitely the way to go. :)
