Forum: what is the best place to find latest phd positions in computational biology especially genome data analysis? apart from findaphd.com?

Hi,

I am a masters in Biotechnology with concentration on genomics,proteomics and bioinformatics, I have learnt python and R for data analysis. I am looking forward to research in genome data analysis. I would like to know good websites or forums to look for such positions so that I dont miss any nice opportunity. I would appreciate any suggestion in this regard.

Apart from this I have been searching on findaphd.com , reading papers and searching for relevant research done by research groups and labs across the world, but this is taking a lot of time meanwhile I feel I am missing out on deadlines which I am not aware of on time.

Thanks in advance

Probably a good idea to check on websites for various research groups that you would like to work with. You could also ask your Professors to recommend some good groups relevant to your expertise for you. Below are some good PhD studentships in genomics and bioinformatics that I know;

Here's one for which you don't have to go very far:

https://www.biostars.org/t/Jobs/

PhD positions are posted there frequently

International society for Computational Biology has a reasonably active career page where you can find some PhD positions, concentrated around bioinformatics.

This was posted in one of the threads here in Biostars.

You can search the job openings by role ("student", "Postdoc" etc.,).
