HUMAnN for metatranscriptomics?

Hi,

Did anyone here have any experience with HUMAnN? From its webpage it is said it was designed for metagenomic data: http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/humann

But it used BLASTX. So I am wondering if I can use metatranscriptomics data (RNAseq) for this pipeline? Any comment or suggestion are appreciated! Thanks!

I think HUMAnN 1.0 does not work for metatranscriptomics but Huttenhower lab is working with something called HUMAnN 2.0 which will work for RNAseq data as well. It will probably be released for public in few months.
