Determination of cut-off in similarity score

Hello,

I computed semantic similarity score between gene ontology terms. Which ranges from 0 to 1. I want to choose cut-off in these 0 to 1 value. By which i can choose similar and dissimilar GO terms based on this cutt-off value. Can any body suggest some way how to determine significant cut-off

0.5 is halfway between them. If you want a justified level, you need a target or motivation. Maybe in your context the 95th percentile is more appropriate.
