In clonal evolution, metastasis represents the end stage of evolution, where firstly, tumor mass is occupied by malignant cells containing genomic alterations, these alterations causes transformation of malignant to metastatic stage (e.g. Colorectal Cancers).
In Parallel evolution, Metastasis occurs at early stage and so the primary and metastatic tumous evolve parallely (e.g. Epithelial tumous)

Can you add some background to your question? Or what led you to this line of inquiry? For example, are you looking for a tool that can model the heterogeneity of a given sample? Or do you simply want to discuss this topic at a high level? From my understanding, clonal/parallel simply describe the width/depth of a cancer's phylogenetic tree. Here is a good read.
