Forum: Complexity in reproduce the research work

When i tried to learn any new bioinformatics assay, then my seniors suggested me to replicate the relevant research paper. but to do so i got many problems and hurdles like first of all reading and understanding the context of paper, then the used methods, data visualizations and last but most tough part statistical evaluation of analysis and results. I request for efficient way or methods to do this painful work.No doubt persistency and hard work is necessary but i need suggestions for smart work.

find the the most relevant method from the most relevant paper you don't understand and post a specific question here about it

There is no shortcut to this process. If you want to succeed in this field you'll need the skills to understand papers, take apart method sections, and manipulate, analyse, and visualise complex data. Your supervisors made a good suggestion. I would only suggest starting with a simple paper (bonus if it has a good repo attached).
