News: Developing Shiny Apps with AI - online course in February

Dear all, We are excited to announce our upcoming online course “Developing Shiny Apps with AI", taking place on 9th, 11th, and 13th February 2026.

Course website: https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/shiny-with-ai/

This hands-on course introduces participants to coding with large language models (LLMs) and shows how to leverage them to build, improve, and debug interactive Shiny applications in R.

Alongside LLM fundamentals, attendees will work with modern development tools including GitHub, VS Code, Docker, and OpenAI’s Codex. Designed for biologists, data scientists, statisticians, and bioinformaticians, the course requires basic R knowledge but no prior Shiny experience—just curiosity and a willingness to learn new tools.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand LLM fundamentals and limitations
  • Use LLMs and coding agents effectively in software development
  • Build and refine Shiny apps
  • Work confidently with modern coding tools and workflows

If you're looking to enhance your coding skills and integrate AI into your development process, we look forward to welcoming you to this course.

Best regards,

Carlo Pecoraro, Ph.D

Bumping threads solely for visibility is not acceptable on Biostar.

This is against Biostar etiquette and makes it harder for others to get fair visibility.

Posts should only be updated when there is new information or a substantive follow-up that adds important information not originally available.

Hi Istvan, Thanks for your message. Just to clarify, we did not bump this thread. If the thread was bumped, it must have been done by someone else.
