Cell communacations analysis. I only have the proteome of one type of cell
Good day, everybody!
I am just starting in bioinformatics and I would like to do a cell to cell communication analysis. I know there are various tools for that purpose such as Cellchat, Cellphonedb, Nichenet, etcetera. However, I see that every one of those commonly has ScRNAseq data as input.
Right now I only have a proteome of a cell culture with only one cell type. Would it be aproppiate to input the differential expression of such data set to a cell to cell communication analysis tool? If so... Which one and Why would that be the case?
Thank you. Best wishes.

If you want to infer communication then you need at least one sender and one receiver. How would that go with just one single bulk sample?
Hi ATpoint, I wonder if it makes any sense to perform kind of autocrine signaling analysis; that splitting the one-cell-type dataset randomly then performing nichenet?
