Your Profile Master/PhD, preferably with 2 to 5 years experience as a bioinformatician in the field of genomics WES and WGS analysis.

Your mission

• You will develop NGS bioinformatic pipelines for diagnostic applications using different programming languages
• You will propose validation strategies for genetic analyses
• You will help in the implementation of validation plans and revalidation of bioinformatic pipelines in the context of ISO15189 accreditation
• You will compute on the CHU HPC infrastructure (SLURM; 500+ cores)
• You will create and maintain our dedicated databases
• You will write Standard Operation Procedures
• You will write scientific publications linked to your developments

Qualifications and experience

• You have a deep knowledge and proficiency in the development of bioinformatics tools for NGS data analysis
• You have a solid background in genetics and statistics
• You are highly proficient in spoken and written French
• You are highly proficient in scientific English

What we offer:

• Contract until end of February 2024, extendable until end of 2024. Possibility to further extend.
• Work site: CHU Sart-Tilman (Liege, Belgium)
• Working hours: Full time, 38h/week
• Monthly gross salary
  • If Masters: 3.943,57 euros (IFIC 17)
  • If PhD: 4.333,89 euros (IFIC 18)
