News: NCBI's IgBLAST version 1.21.0 is now available

IgBLAST classifies and analyzes immunoglobulin and T cell receptor sequences. Improvements in the latest release include alignment gaps and new Adaptive Immune Receptor Repertoire (AIRR) format fields (translation, D gene frame). These updates are available in the standalone and web versions.

igblast blast t-cell ncbi receptors

Great, highly appreciate the hard work. I'm wondering if NCBI is responsible for uploading and updating the igblast hosted on conda?

Nope, that's just us random internet people keeping bioconda's build of the igblast package up to date. You can propose an update via a pull request in the recipes repo on github (see here for some recent ones). More on Bioconda's procedures here.

And now that you mention it, we should do that for this new version. The D gene frame feature would be handy!

Thanks. We are now monitoring this more and will try to update packages soon after our releases. We are helping out, but we cannot take full responsibility for it, because we do not control conda.
