gigabases to gigabytes for different assays?

I would like to know if anyone has a reference/paper for how do you calculate the size of data by the throughput (gigabases) for different assays?

Size of the data is simply a matter of the amount of sequencing one does. Are you asking about what amount of sequencing is recommended for various assays?
