Does z-score and p-values for canonical pathways correlate in Qiagen's Ingenuity Pathway Analysis
I am doing a comparison analysis with IPA software but the results display either Z-score or P-value separately. I wonder if a significant Z-score (abs(Z score) > 2) always implies that the P-value of that pathway to be significant as well?
I understand that not all pathways with significant p-value will have a significant Z-score, but how about the other way around? Are all pathways with significant Z-score have significant P-value? Also, in practice, would it be reasonable to only look at Z-score to determine the significance when the Z score is available?
