STAR-Fusion coding effect output file
hello. I am doing fusion analysis using STAR-Fusion.
To find out the sequence of the coding region, I added '--examine_coding_effect' as an option and ran it, but the Fusion_CDS information of the fusion gene I wanted to see was . will be displayed.
What does this mean??

It means there is no data to report on those attributes for that particular fusion.
So, can I think of that fusion as noise?
I can't say that for sure. Is a fusion for which there is no annotated coding effect not a fusion? Is it lack of knowledge, a false positive or something else entirely?
