Why don't two GenBank accession with identical sequences return hits to each other in BLASTn?
JQ030367.1 and JQ030128.1 have identical sequences. When I blast the sequence of one of them (not including a fasta header line), I would expect to get hits to both of the accessions. But I don't. I only get a hit to JQ030128.1.
Why is that?
Is blastn considering JQ030367.1 redundant to JQ030128.1 or something similar?

If you are using BLASTn web interface, identical hits are sometimes collapsed together. In the image below, you click on the part that says See 47 more title(s) and those identical hits will be shown. Both sequences you mentioned above are included, and many more.
