why assortative mating can cause bias in GWAS results?

Do you know why assortative mating can cause bias in GWAS results? and what is bias in GWAS? means we do not find signals or our signals are false positive?

I do not work on GWAS, but I imagine that for this type of studies you do not want to have any type of structure in your data, and assortative mating does that, as you don't have panmixia. I am following the question for future answers, as I am interested!
