Error: PLINK does not support more than 2^31 - 3 variants.

Hi there,

I was converting my vcf file into bfiles in plink, and I got an error 'Error: PLINK does not support more than 2^31 - 3 variants'. We recommend other software, such as PLINK/SEQ, for very deep studies of small numbers of genome.

At the same time PLINK/SEQ was also not downloaded.

Please help me out from this problem. Thanks

you didn't use the vcf including non-variant sites? if you use the vcf file without non-variant sites, the number of sites should be the same, which means you do not get the error message.
