16S data classification using kraken and centrifuge

Its my first time working with 16S rna meta-genomic sequence data and I'm not used to classification tool.

I've used two classification tool kraken and centrifuge on same data set, but comparatively I'm getting totally different result from both the tools.

I want clarify on this point: is it possible to get different result on classification from the same data set ? and if Possible then what is the actual reason behind this.

centrifuge 16s classification kraken

Your classification is going to depend on the database you are using to run the tools. Was the database identical in both cases? If not that would be one reason for getting different results.

and equivalent parameters in both the programs
