When publishing a paper about results from gene expression (and other) studies, we frequently refer to calculating FDR values from a large vector of p-values and then using, say, a 10% FDR threshold for significance. I would like to know the proper way to describe this procedure in a paper for publication without using any misleading or incorrect terms such as "adjusted p-values".
